The incident took place in Stamford around 5:30 a.m., Sunday, Nov. 17, at the Springdale Shell station on Hope Street, when two men wearing masks walked into the store and pointed a pistol at the clerk and ordered the man to give him money, said Stamford Police Lt. Tom Scanlon.
The two men then grabbed other items, along with the gas, before fleeing the area on foot, Scanlon said.
The clerk was not injured during the robbery, he said.
No customers were inside the store at the time of the robbery.
